My Christmas Message to You

Many of you have spent the last few weeks clamoring to prepare for this Christmas day.  It’s been weeks of planning for you and yours.  (I’m speaking of the women, of course.  For most men, they finally remembered yesterday they needed to get everyone a gift, and headed out around midnight to see what was left).  Still…even for them…at moments it seemed like the world is upside down, and spinning in the opposite direction.  Well…it was either that or the eggnog.

Now is the day everyone reaps the benefits of your labor.  Presents are wrapped, Santa’s been by, and dinner is prepped for the oven.  As I write this, you’re sitting quietly with a cup of coffee, waiting for the onslaught of excited children, holiday parades, and the exchange of gifts.  Just please tell me you didn’t actually wrap the underwear and socks as a gift.  Really…have some imagination.

Anyway, while you’re here I wanted to remind you that with all the craziness in the world, and all the hoopla over who will be President, or Donald Trump’s hair, or the burning questions you have over which Kardashian will get married next, that none of it matters.  The world is safe.  It will be here long after we are gone.  So really…the only thing that matters is who your friends are, and that FAMILY is the most important thing in your life.

Merry Christmas Everyone,

I love you,

Rex
