I finally had enough today. For some reason the redneck right feels they’ve been abused because South Carolina took the Confederate flag off the capital grounds. Now they feel their honor has been impugned. Well since the battle flag had no honor to begin with, I’m not sure how this could possibly be the case.
When you want to support the Confederate flag and you start the conversation with “I’m not a racist” you’ve already lost me. Especially since…you’re likely a racist. You’re at least ignorant. If you think this flag is not racist then why not get your flag, and add to it the Nazi flag. You can then invite all those black and Jewish friends you have over for dinner and you can talk about your new flags.
If you think this flag is anything other than a symbol of hate and treason, then please sue the educational system you attended. They failed. You need your money back. In fact I think you should turn off Fox News and pick up a book…any book…some of them even have pictures! You might actually learn something. Here’s another one for you: You all worship at the alter of John Wayne. Did he ever wear the Confederate Uniform? If so what movie?
What I find so amazing is all of you say you love your country, and support the troops. So how can you support such a treasonous act? It boggles the mind! Let me put it in perspective for you. Imagine General Grant shows up for dinner and you have the battle flag he fought against mounted on your porch. Chances are he’d shoot you. It is insulting. Not only to black people, but the memory and honor of the men who gave their lives for our union. The Confederates (TRAITORS) lost. They had not then, nor now, any honor what…so…ever.
What annoys me more than anything is that you think people are trampling on your freedom of speech. No one is telling you that you can’t fly the flag. However my tax dollars, and the tax dollars of many a minority go to support public buildings. When it comes to that, then you have to make a compromise. It’s not your house. It’s a public building. I know you think you own it, but you don’t.
Just to reiterate (big word…sorry) no one is telling you that you can’t fly the flag. Buy one…fly it. Hoist it off your pickup truck and have a day! You have every right to do that, and I for one would be the first in line to fight for that right. But then you have to honor my right to point out that the flag represents rapists, child molesters, murderers, slavers, and traitors. You know…because based on every historical record then and now…it does.
But before I sign off here I have a last request. Until someone shows up at your house, forces you to involuntarily mate with the guy next door, rapes your 11 year old daughter, beats you with a cat of nine tails, and then forces you to clean his house, stop acting like you’re a victim. You sound like an idiot.
